UPDATE THIS ON IOS AND ANDROID OR WERE GOING TO BUY A NEW BRAND THAT CAN ACTUALLY KEEP THEIR APPS AND PRODUCTS UPDATED

All app does is crash an closes every time I press on something on the app TOTAL JUNK !

Since latest update can’t see anything

It never works!! Not user friendly at all. If u try and ask for support they are useless and all u get is some foreign person who cannot speak clear English and has NO idea what they are doing. Tried telling me that my internet doesn’t work. Like really everything else connected to the internet does…. Useless waste of my money. Would not even give 1 star

I purchased Swann to protect home . This is a nightmare and if you are a Veteran you know the importance of security. Do not , I repeat Do not fest or use any Swann equipment or any equipment with any connection to Swann.

I’ve had for several years and it was just OK. It showed me cameras but anything else really was not supported or just was too difficult to perform on phone. This past month the system doesn’t sync with app. Can no longer view on phone. Spent many hrs resetting devices still negative results.

I’ve had this system for about four years. During my last IOS update, the cameras will no longer work on my Iphone. The wheels just spin until it times out. I was hoping this would last for at least a decade since it was a new version when I bought and installed them. Shame on Swann for not responding to customer concerns.

Will not login anymore . App broken :(

The app has been primarily useless for the last year or so. Every once in a while I am able to view the cameras but that’s rare. Sometimes if we unplug and then plug the device itself back in, I can access the cameras in the app, but again, not reliable. Disappointed that we have a system that I can’t access outside of the actual unit.

Always problems to connect, never smooth or easy to access the cameras or review something recorded. Everything is a mess with this app we paid a lot of money for a good product and their gadget or app is very poor.. I hope they can fixe the delay when you are trying to connect remotely, the app close or simply not connected with the delay of not seeing nothing swiping from wifi to 3g/4g or just saying FAILED TO CONNECT. PLEASE FIX and make this app more reliable for all your clients and customers.

Not recommending

Too many times this app just won’t open. Swirls around and the. FAILED. smh

For about a year now my husband and myself haven’t been able to view our cameras off of our tablets or our phones. It’s feels as though the money and the time we spent on their security system is a complete waste! DO NOT PURCHASE SWANN PRODUCTS!!!

I did the update recently and now I keep getting log in fails. My moms app that hasn’t been updated yet is still working fine. I think the update messed things up. This is frustrating.

I’ve had Swann cameras for a few years now & the app for iPhone is terrible. It worked maybe the first year I had an old iPhone. Since upgrading to a new iPhone I haven’t been able to get an app to work for these cameras. Have decided to put in a new system & definitely NOT using swann ever again.. Waste of time & money!!

Yep yep I know how you folks feel, backwards compatibility is a pain .... but here’s a workaround, I found somewhere , that iSecurity+ works so download that...I got it working for my older swann wifi cams....it might work for you too ...hope this helps

Sometimes 3 or 4 frames on the monitor will freeze for several days. Trying to access the cameras by iPhone is impossible. Keep getting opening failed. I will be switching to another company and have your equipment torn out and dumped. Disgusted

It works as an on the spot viewing of the camera's but if anything happens and you want to record it or whatever, you can't get past 1-2 minutes and you can't set it on specific times because it'll just round to the hour. Pathetic

This company is crap. I thought i was buying name brand product but their customer support is NON-EXISTENT. Most recently the app stopped connecting to the dvr and only displays “open failed”. Upon searching the forums at swann, it seems plenty of customers have this issue and are being ignored by swann. I have no choice but to buy a new DVR system and i will be sure to confirm the company isnt owned in any part by those who run swann. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Updated with iphone 10 September 2020: App takes a VERY long time to display the cameras & freezes anytime motion appears on a camera. This system definitely wasn’t worth my money.

As others have mentioned, this app used to work but for years now, it has stopped working. It always says log in failed. I have tried everything but considering this app’s last update was long ago, this has become useless. I’m surprised that a company that has currently still manufacturing would not continue to maintain their apps.

Is this app ever updated. Do u think u can fix all the bugs everyone is complaining about!. Why this app so bad?

There camera’s are junk. They fill up with water! Can never connect online . Should I go on ?

I couldn’t even get this app to connect to my Swann DVR! No matter what I did, or how I tried to force this app to connect it would NOT! When I contacted Swann they told me to try several things that I had already done and of course nothing worked (because it didn’t work the first time their techs thought it would work the 2nd & 3rd times ... insanity)! Total piece of trash software!

Las cámaras funcionan medianamente bien, pero después de 2 años se descompuso el codificador y al llamar a soporte me dicen que no hay respiraciones ni piezas, que son desechables, que tengo que comprar otras cámaras nuevas “Todas” jajaja no vuelvo a comprar esta marca que no tiene soporte en México (las compré en Sam’s)

I’ve been struggling with this app for over 5 years now. It rarely works. Most of the time I get the “open failed” error, and the 10% of the time I can view my cameras, I loose the image after a couple of minutes. This app has one job, to allow you to view your cameras on a mobile device, which is rarely possible. I am now going to try another companies DVR/app that will work with my cameras and never try this one again.

I’ve had this camera system since 2012. The cameras work well. The app, not so much. I can’t playback to a certain time and it’s frustrating.

Since I updated my phone from IPhone7 to IPhone XR (IOS 13.4) my app will no longer connect to my cameras. I hope y’all are planning to fix this?

The Swaan Security Cameras fail to compete against other security surveillance brands out there. Their online softwares for computers and apps are not compatible with most devices. Navigating through their features are difficult since it doesn’t allow you to do anything. I can’t even scroll to a desired date and time on playback mode on my phone or computer. The system is outdated and useless. They advertise to their product to be easy and convenient which is completely false. I highly recommend users to not purchase Swaan products or use their apps. Judging by how many different versions of apps they have for a security system, it shows that they don’t update their systems, but rather create a new one and leave the old ones sitting there for their long term users to frustrate over.

This app has caused thousands and after a few years this broke down the signals are fine but WHAT I saved it on my tv and it works what kind of app dev literally just shuts it down.

This app really needs to be updated. It still works but it needs to get with the new times here and match my screen size. Please UPDATE!!

The app is not working after I deleted and reinstalled. Login failed. Repeated tried manually entering data - nothing works

It’s cool for the live view, but I’m annoyed that 1. The date format is wacky and the time is in military, 2. It doesn’t automatically record your cameras so there isn’t a way to go back and review cameras. You physically have to push record and not close out of the app... and it just saves to your phone not the camera system. 3. It’s very outdated, you should consider revamping and updating this app. Needless to say I wouldn’t have this app and camera if my boss didn’t chose it.

Bought these cameras, spent all this money to have installed and swan customer service is terrible and THE APP WORKED FOR 6 months at best!

That’s just dumb, there hasn’t been an update in 2 years and that’s one thing that needs to change

After a recent update, the app does not open at all—it immediately crashes. I am unable to view my cameras; unfortunate.

It is a shame that “SWANN” cares not. Application doesn’t work especially with iPad Pro. I might return the system. Additionally; system’s overall performance is a failure

Won’t work for iOS 13.. customer service no help

App crashes as soon as I try to hoot it. I can’t depend on this app anymore. When I need to check my cameras it’s important and I’m really frustrated when I can’t. Please fix the app.

Swannlink is at the edge of the table at the brink of falling into the garbage can. You’ve chosen to leave your iOS customers behind and out of the update loop. Your customer service has been at the same level of your updates ! Which are zero ! What happened to you ? Redeem yourselves and give your iOS customers an update that will restore our loyalty in you ! Can you read between the lines ? Make it happen !

Simply a horrific underperforming app. Stay away.

Only for phones. I had 2 profiles, one worked and one didn’t. Removed the one that didn’t and it broke the one that worked. Now I am remote and apparently I need to do a local password reset. ##### I just received a reply saying they looked up my support case, etc., apologies. But I never called them, I figured out the password reset was local on my own. Since then, though, it stopped working on the phone even though my laptop works. “Open failed” is the message I get whenever I try to use it on my phone, and before you blame my network let me say the laptop still works on the same WiFi that the phone does not.

App does not always show all the camera feed. You have to hit play four or five times and maybe see all the cameras on the network. Playback is not working correctly either. I try and look at the playback in the app and I get not file error.

This app has not been updated in a few years. Not sure if they ever plan to upgrade but app is terrible.

I installed this on my iPad. Does fit my iPad screen. To tiny.

Useless! Rarely connects. No playback controls. Just plain lazy development. Might as well outsource the d*** thing.
