Is about to be one year since the last update...what is going on??? Just bought a $600 Swann security camera system and you cant use a portion of that money to fix the app? Your app keeps crashing whenever I try to playback footage or stream in clear mode. Swann you gotta do better, I will be doing a video review of your system, this app will have me say "I dont recommend a Swann system". Look into the Nest app if you need ideas...js.

App repeatedly crashes when you try clear view or playback. Need new app or swann to fix!! Please

For me, if an app crashes for any reason, that is uncalled for to sit unfixed endlessly. The vast majority of attempts the app crashes and closes out changing the view from fluent to clear. Fluent is default because it uses less data and bandwidth. Seems this feature wanted to work off and on but now only crashes 95% of time. Not sure what the system constraints are and if the app software alone can resolve it. Do they read their own reviews ? This is a problem

The following "features" will cause the app to crash on ios9: 1. Playback of any kind 2. Changing preview stream quality These features just dont work: 1. Sound 2. Pinch zoom Please update your app to at least the 3 star quality of pro or plus!

Horrible app. Crashes constantly and Swann doesnt care. When will they update the app to fix the bugs? Makes your system completely useless.

Swann truly has fantastic products.. Only issue is it takes a little bit of time to get to their customer service on the phone .. ;( thats the only unfortunate thing ... Or you would have five star rating ;) Their products are fairly good for the price that you pay and the warranty service customer service is prompt in responding to any issues that you may have with your devices. So at this time Im pretty happy with Swann and all seems to be well and I look forward to working with Swann in the future with their great products thank you so much..

Video playback problematic with a DVR8-4000 set to record continuously. Trying to scrub into a section of recorded video using the new timebar control often results in an unrecoverable "open fail" error, at which point you must kill the app to get playback and live view back. New playback timebar control deceptive; whilst it gives the appearance that you can select any time you want to view with the timebar, it will still load from the beginning of the half hour recording block. So viewing something that happened 25 minutes into the recording block still requires you to watch 25 minutes of recorded video with no video transport controls to quickly skip over irrelevant video.

New update is great! I can now playback video from my iPhone. I hope the next update you can fast forward the playback Excellent update

Combine a bad user interface with an even worse software product for your computer and this is what you get. The images never work beyond a few minutes before it freezes and you have to restart. Maybe if they had competant people making this stuff, then they might have thought about QUALITY. Yet, alas, twas not to be.

Just Downloaded and installed tonight improvement over last version. Can actually zoom in on video and faster load up. Keep the tweaks and upgrades coming... Swann...

After the last update this app works much better. It no longer shuts down when you stream higher quality video.

The new version of this app is great for iPhone. Everything we as customers have been waiting for. Once there is a version made for the iPad this app will get 5 stars.

Absolutely terrible. Works about 10% of the time.

Thank you for finally fixing the large number of issues. The only thing left seems to be sound! Fix that and your product is finally complete

Bring back the dark theme. This new update introduced an all white theme and it blinds me when viewing at night and makes the feed hard to see. An option for day or night viewing would be nice. Or just the ability to pick a light or dark theme. Otherwise great app.

I like the new UI and they made some great creature improvements. - you can now switch between feeds while remaining on the "clear" stream - you can scrub through playback These two were huge pluses for me.

This app needs a bit more work. How about a pause button? Fast forward? Rewind? Again this is a big improvement but we are talking basics when the above is mentioned...

If you have 2 hours of footage, you will need 2 hours to review it. If the footage started at 12:00pm you can start playback at 12:00 at 12:30 at 1 and at 1:30which means if want to see what happened at 12:25, you will have to watch 25 mins of footage with no ability to fast forward or x2 or something. You can scroll the timeline as if you COULD search through your footage but the video does not comply. This dumb software is really holding this product back. And makes this app useless.

The latest update greatly improved performance. Being able to zoom and use the clear button without crashing is great. Just add FF and sound and its 5 stars.

This app would be fine if it would connect more than once in 5 tries. Switching from fluent to clear crashes the app on iPhone and iPad. Takes forever to connect when it finally decides to. This is on Wifi on same network, I imagine cell wont work at all. I paid $1300 for this HD camera system and all I got was this lousy app. Please fix it. Update: app is much better now with this new version. Now I can access the motion detect an other functions. Having good connection/bandwidth makes all the difference.
