If you want to see what was recorded on a camera you have to start at midnight that day and wait for hours. Search at the time of the event will simply close the app. Good enough to see live events but playback is worthless. And playback is what you need if something happens.

The app is finally useful now. Much better interface GUI.

The app was decent before I updated it. I have the current version which sports a white background. The performance of the app took a nose dive since I updated it. The feed is extremely laggy and sometimes just flat out doesnt work. The system was the cheapest one that Sams Club had to offer. I guess I got what I paid for

Crashes every 30 seconds, slow and minimal features. Please get it together or I am buying different brand... Soon!!!!!

This was my first home security purchase and install. Im very satisfied with the directions and ease of use. The app has worked flawlessly for me so far. Didnt experience what other reviews have said as of yet. Night mode is clear and helps me keep an eye on the cars in the driveway and the dogs at the Back door when theyre ready to come inside. Much better than getting up every five minutes to look!

The app is not very stable. It always says "opening failed". You must then close the app and re open it. Playback is terrible.

App crashes every time I try and replay the footage. The scroll bar is a total fail, you scroll down to a different time and you get a white screen then it crashes!

If your recording lasts an hour it will take an hour to view it. No fast preview speeds, no jumping ahead or back. Want to see something again after say 45 minutes? No way to rewind, just start over again. Seems like a huge miss.

So I love the camera but the app needs work. Playing back recorded videos on my iPhone 6 causes the app to crash on occasion. That happens more often than I would find acceptable. Also, if the app would prevent the phone from going into sleep mode while operating in live mode, I think that I would give it another star. Other than those two things I think the app is pretty good and the cameras are great.

The previous version of the app crashed far less than this. Once it says failure on the play backs, you have to completely refresh the app and start over. Wish I could take the update away. More like a down date than an update. Overall system is good, but the app is a disappointment.

Playback no longer works since the November 2015 update. Nice UI and good for viewing live, but gives a failed to load error anytime I try to playback video on any of my iOS devices.

I just set up my new system today and have not been able to login to this app. Ive tried every way I can think of, but get login error. Makes this system totally useless. If I cant get tech support to help, this will have to go back to Costco. Disappointed and not happy.

What happened to being able to view over LTE and not just wifi?

This app is terrible!! Its not reliable at all, from trying to record an incident to rewinding or fast forward, I cant even view my recordings without the app crashing! A product like this should be simple and easy to use instead its frustrating and a big waste of time!! I hope that whoever programs this app reads this and finally works on a better simpler app! TERRIBLE APP!!!!!!!!

Wanting to put a camera on the far end of my house the connection to that camera wasnt consistent, kept dropping out and freezing- was going to plug a wireless extender in closer near that cam and move the NVR, then i thought, why not plug in an extender, then ethernet cable the camera to the extender and see what happens- well what happens is it starts working perfectly. Just plug in the cable and it connects itself. Since doing this my camera works PERFECTLY, now full signal to camera and freezing is gone. Before you go nuts moving ur cameras, or returning to store- try that. I ran the line thru a hole in the garage wall where i ran the camera and put the extender in the garage so not out in weather. Much better app than the First Alert security cam app we have in our barn this is much more "updated" no problems now, i love the system! Highly recommend giving it a shot!

Installed my system about two weeks ago and the app ran perfectly. It has pretty much all the features I wanted and found it very useful. Live streaming works great and always has, however for the past few days playback has not been working properly when connected to LTE. When viewing a clip, the clip plays for about two seconds then pauses, buffers for 5-20 seconds then skips ahead in the video. I am now unable to view the part of the clip that triggered the motion alarm because it skips ahead every time past it. Hopefully its fixed soon as it leaves a major feature of the system unusable. Otherwise it would be a 4-5 star app.

Constantly crashes when trying to playback footage. Only works good to log in and view live footage. Anything recorded on the HD is practically impossible to playback on the app.

Update: now you cant look at all four cameras in HD "clear streaming" it only allows one screen at a time. I dont know why they would force that. Fail even more. How does an app get worse as time goes on. My swann cameras are already failing. One night vision is broke and another shows rainbows. Junk equipment. Will never buy Swan again. I tried being hopeful and working as hard as I can to make them work right and last. Junk all the way around and customer service took a turn for the worse even though it was a semi joke Before. --- I was extremely grateful to find a scroll tab when reviewing playback footage. So that you could fast forward or rewind. However, once you scroll a little forward... The video fails to open and get a blank white screen. No fast forward. Who wants to watch 30 min clip to get to the last minute. Wow. Horrible design. Ive tried it several times. Close app. Reboot phone. Etc same problem. iPhone5S with latest updates as of nov 11th 2015

Tried everything, restart everything, reinstall, everything, cant get past this problem. Plug and play app = fail. Set and forget = fail. Peace of mind surveillance on the go = total fail. Makes a strong case for purchasing everything oem and using blue iris. Might be quicker. Sigh.

The App is great and works great when watching live and is poor when trying to watch past events on your iPhone and keeps failing. Ive sent emails to the support team and havent heard back yet.
